Charmaine Hilton Buehnercbuehner@mwgjs.com  Charmaine Hilton Buehner graduated cum laude from American University, Washington College of Law in 2002. During law school, Ms. Buehner was a Congressional Fellow for Unites States Senator Bob Graham, a law clerk for the United States Department of Justice in the Antitrust Division, in both the Transportation, Energy & Agriculture and White Collar Crime (Litigation II) Sections, and a member of the Administrative Law Review. Ms. Buehner also served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable John P. Cooney (ret.), Magistrate of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. Ms. Buehner focuses her practice on employment litigation and counseling, class action litigation, and business litigation. Ms. Buehner has substantial experience handling employment-related litigation and providing counseling advice to employers. In addition, Ms. Buehner is an experienced business litigator; her trial experience includes second-chairing a week-long arbitration involving a contractual indemnification dispute, and a three-week jury trial in which she and lead counsel defeated breach of contract, fraud and intellectual property infringement claims. Ms. Buehner has successfully defeated class certification in several class action cases, including products liability and Labor Code violation cases. Ms. Buehner is also experienced at all aspects of pretrial litigation, including law and motion work, written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and representing clients at mediation. |
